HDC-Nepal is carrying out community led program on different contemporary issues of the community to foster their living standars as per thematic area of the organization.

• Implemented a program called Micro Enterprise Development Program (MEDEP)/UNDP to promote social mobilization and entrepreneur development within local communities. The program benefited over 1000 individuals in Jhapa and Panchthar.

• Successfully carried out the "Preparing and Combating Impacts of New variants of COVID-19 in Nepal" project in Jhapa and Morang. The project involved conducting fever screenings for individuals crossing the Nepal-India border, installing hand-washing water tanks in community schools, organizing awareness and training programs, and performing street drama shows reaching over 50,000 beneficiaries.

• The "Community-Based Disaster Preparedness Efforts in South Eastern Nepal" project in Jhapa and Udayapur is currently being concluded. Key activities included constructing check dams along river banks, planting trees, mobilizing model communities, forming various committees, and providing income generation training to uplift the financial condition of disaster-affected people benefiting over 25,000 individuals.

• Continuing the "Microfinance and Women's Entrepreneurship in Eastern Nepal" project in Jhapa, Udayapur, and Sankhuwasabha with the support of Steamboat Ventures Social Enterprise Fund through Give2Asia. The project primarily focuses on developing business plans and providing demand-driven and skill-based training to empower poor and marginalized women aiming to foster entrepreneurship among over 500 women beneficiaries.
