For more than 17 years, HDC Nepal has continuously been engaged in the development and implementation of community managed rural infrastructures, such as paved paths, School, health post, drinking water tanks. These infrastructures have benefited more than 1 million people directly.
As the name states these infrastructures needs are addressed by the community, using as much raw materials from the community itself. The construction of every such infrastructures is headed by the local government and the members of the community. HDC Nepal has received numerous awards for its contributions to the development and construction of CMI. HDC Nepal has so far contributed to the construction of 30 kilometers of agricultural rods, 20 school buildings and 8 co-operative and community buildings. It has also constructed 2 bridges and culverts as well as over 13 drinking water schemes. In addition, HDC Nepal has constructed 5 health posts.
